Industrial Organizational Psychologist

For the past twenty years, Jaclyn Lanier, Ph.D. has conducted strategic talent assessments for organizations making critical hiring and succession planning decisions. As an Industrial Organizational Psychologist, she specializes in comprehensive individual psychological assessments that inform leadership selection and development initiatives.
Dr. Lanier applies evidence-based methodologies to help companies evaluate and develop their leadership talent. Through detailed individual assessments, she provides organizations with objective insights for leadership decisions and talent development programs.
Dr. Lanier also provides executive coaching to senior leaders and high-potential employees. Her developmental approach includes personality assessments and comprehensive 360-degree feedback assessments that identify both strengths and areas for improvement. She works with leaders to build on their capabilities while addressing potential challenges to their effectiveness.
Dr. Lanier's background includes serving as Senior IO Psychologist at Wells Fargo, where she led large scale selection initiatives and provided assessment support across business divisions. She has also held consulting positions at two global assessment firms, giving her experience with diverse organizational contexts and talent challenges.
Dr. Lanier earned her doctorate in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology and is an active member of The Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology. She contributes to the field through presentations at national conferences. Most recently, she presented "The Challenges & Successes with C-Level Assessment" (2019 SIOP Conference), "Who Needs a Coach? Everyone." (2023 SIOP Conference), and "Coaching in Context: Enabling Leadership Success through Coaching" (2025 SIOP Conference).
